Resurrection of Jesus

the resurrection of Jesus of the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary
The Resurrection of Christ - Paolo Veronese - 1570

The Resurrection of Jesus is the first decade of the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary, one of the most powerful prayers given to us from above.  It covers the events concerning Jesus on the day of his Resurrection beginning with the women traveling to the tomb to anoint the body and encountering the angel guarding it.

Scripture

Matthew 28: 1-8

And in the end of the sabbath, when it began to dawn towards the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalen and the other Mary, to see the sepulchre.

And behold there was a great earthquake. For an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and coming, rolled back the stone, and sat upon it. And his countenance was as lightning, and his raiment as snow. For fear of him, the guards were struck with terror, and became as dead men. And the angel answering, said to the women: Fear not you; for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he is risen, as he said. Come, and see the place where the Lord was aid.

And going quickly, tell ye his disciples that he is risen: And behold he will go before you into Galilee; there you shall see him. Lo, I have foretold it to you. And they went out quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy, running to tell his disciples.

Decade Prayers of The Resurrection of Jesus
Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. Amen

Hail Mary

Repeat 10 Times

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory Be To The Father

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Fatima Prayer

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to Heaven, especially those who have most need of your mercy.  Amen.
